Our infant programs emphasizes the development of a sense of trust and self importance in your child within a warm and nurturing environment. Infants are provided with a safe space in which to grow, and freedom to move within that space. Physical, social, language, and cognitive development are an integral part of your infant's program. And most importantly, we talk to infants, rock them, hold them and encourage them to try new things as they grow.
It's will be easy for your baby to adapt to this new environment. The design of our infant center and our emphasis on individual care enables your baby to maintain his/her own feeding and sleeping schedule.
Our infants are separated into two programs:
Baby: (birth through active crawling, approximately 11 months) Our center has two infant rooms. Each has a minimum of one licensed caregiver per four babies. Your child will usually transition from the Baby Program into the Duckling, or Older Infant Program when he or she is actively crawling.
Ducklings: (Approx. 11 months through 24 months) The Duckling room is a spacious and well equipped learning environment with a minimum of one licensed caregiver per four children. Older Infants continue to improve and develop their gross motor skills in a separate outdoor play area. Weather permitting, our Ducklings play outside at least twice a day. |
